Kingston Upon Hull 0 – 5 HDHC
The dragons travelled to Hull with vice captain Wells again taking the reins. Set back in player availability lead to the inclusion of Kullar and debutant Dixon.
Huddersfield started the game brightly putting together excellent passages of hockey. The dragons welcomed Ed Haigh back up front, missing from the last three games due to other commitments. Haigh didn’t take long to settle right back in and scored his first of three from a well executed set piece. In his second start for the 2XI Kullar again found the back of the net, waiting to pounce on a loose ball. late in the second half Richardson completed the scoring.
The Dragons defence, still best in the league were never really tested, in a game that was clearly won from the first ten minutes.
Huddersfield go into the festive break sat 2nd in the league with only one goal the difference between them and top. With one half of the league now complete the dragons will have to continue their impressive form if they have any aspirations of the ‘P’ word.
Man of match – Ed Haigh
Fool of Day – Neil Harris
Goal(s) – Haigh(3), Kullar, Richardson
