HDHC 2-1 Harrogate
Huddersfield Dragons 6th team went into their encounter with Harrogate brimming with confidence having won four of their five previous matches. This paid off with an early goal from Lees who neatly deflected a precision pass from Brown past the Harrogate keeper. The Huddersfield team dominated midfield play leaving Harrogate having to play long balls up to their attack and were unlucky not to score more goals in the first half. Harrogate came out fighting after the half time break and managed to force an equaliser – their strong centre forward eventually getting the better of Ford and unleashing a powerful shot past Bebb in goal. However, the home side continued to play the better hockey and some neat interplay between Foo and Lees saw Foo score the winning goal , his seventh of the season.
