Scarborough 0 – 4 HDHC
After a fine result last week Huddersfield 3rds travelled to Scarborough in good shape, welcoming a couple of new faces to the team. However, the first half proved to be a frustrating affair, with a weak opposition, languishing near the foot of the table, packing their defence. Despite dominating possession, at half time the scores were still level, with Huddersfield guilty of too much individual play and failing to move the ball quickly enough.
A slightly better display after the break, resulted in Maddaford breaking the deadlock with a fine strike from a short corner and debutant Dixon flicking in from a Kullar shot to put the result beyond doubt. However, McCallum in goal still made several fine saves when Scarborough attacked on the break. In the final minutes Huddersfield scored twice more, including strike from Beaumont which evaded the Scarborough goalkeeper at his near post.
