Huddersfield and Northern both started strong clearly wanting to claim three points. The home team took advantage of an early short corner to take them 1-0 in front. Dragons fought back and the game was end to end until half time.

A fiery team talk made Dragons come out fighting and they created two short corners which Rebecca Durrans put away. Northern fought back with some strong play down their right but the Huddersfield defence stood strong with keeper Ash Creedon making some excellent saves earning her man of the match. The home team began to lose composure seeing one of their players being issued with red card. A momentary relapse by the visitors saw a flick being issued to the home team which they converted to bring the scores level within the dying minutes of the game.
